Managers vie for trophies at new-look awards event
Head of research
May 2020 | Issue 223
The leading CLO, credit fund and direct lending managers will be vying for honours at the new-look Creditflux Manager Awards. Although the past two months have been turbulent, the Creditflux awards recognise managers which have outperformed across 2019 and given their investors the best chance of weathering the storm.
For the first time, Creditflux will be holding its awards as a virtual event via an online platform with live chat designed to encourage audience interaction. But our awards criteria are as robust as ever: they’re based entirely on performance metrics and data, and the CLO categories highlight deals and managers which have delivered consistently high returns to their investors without compromising on portfolio quality.

In Europe, Redding Ridge (Apollo), Spire and BlackRock all secured multiple nominations, as did relative newcomers Nassau, CBAM and Rockford Tower in the US. In our categories for CLO managers investing in middle-market loans, Cerberus, Golub and Bain are prominent. This year for the first time we also highlight CLOs with non-traditional structures, adding a category for bond-flex and triple-C flex CLOs.

The awards also consider investors in CLOs and we acknowledge the top performing direct lenders in the US and Europe, again highlighting those which have outperformed their peers with high returns and quality portfolios.
Celebrating CLOs for a decade
The Creditflux awards have been recognising the top performers in credit for the past 10 years. The most recent winners of the prestigious Creditflux Manager of the Year title include Spire, CSAM and PGIM.

Winners will be revealed on 15 July. Full details of our event will be announced shortly. The CLO Symposium, which traditionally takes place on the same day, has been moved to September.
