Jefferies completes shock raid on Citi’s European CLO desk
Jefferies has made a statement of intent by hiring three from Citi’s market-leading CLO team, including its head Laura Coady. Jefferies later brings in Citi’s Luis Leon Carsi and Hugh Upcott Gill, according to market sources.
Coady: in joining Jefferies, she is reunited with former boss Fred Jallot, who joined the bank in 2018 as head of fixed income in Europe. Coady will be co-head of the securitised market group in EMEA, alongside Craig Tipping

CIFC CLO Opportunity Funds II and III deliver April returns of 10.32% and 9.34% with the head of its structured credit business Jay Huang saying the firm runs a million simulations each day to identify tail risks.
